A study from Wake Forrest Baptist Medical Center published in the November 2012 issue of Brain and Behavior demonstrated that by balancing the electrical activity of the two sides of the brain, when they are out of balance, can enhance more normal sleeping patterns. This technique, called Brainwave Optimization or neurofeedback, can be accomplished through the use of musical tones, as well as with the use of high frequency radiowaves, magnetic energy, or even infrared light treatment.
This balancing technique is akin to push the reset button on your computer when it is frozen and can be used in a variety of other conditions such as ADD, head trauma, strokes, and even seizure disorders.
