Phthalates Linked to Type 2 Diabetes

The journal Diabetes Care came out with an article in April of 2012 showing a link between high levels of phthalates and double the risk for type 2 diabetes. They also found that certain phthalates disrupted insulin production in the pancreas. This is the tip of the iceberg regarding severe pollution of the planet. The Environmental Working Group did a study on 9 people in different areas of the US and found that everyone had phthalates in their body. One toxin is sufficient to cause major health problems. What happens when were exposed and carry hundreds of environmental pollutants?
