The potato has gotten a bad rap! It is good for lowering blood pressure and it is the richest and most economical veggie source of potassium. It has many other vitamins, minerals, and nutrients such as vitamin C and catalase. The cost of potassium rich white potatoes was half that of most other veggies. Intravenous vitamin C for treatment of cancer was pioneered by Linus Pauling in the early 1970s and now, finally, there is mainstream literature having a second look at IV vitamin C in people with lymphomas. IV vitamin C is converted in to hydrogen peroxide by cancer cells and it kills them.
