New drugs are the poorest tested and Americans are the guinea pigs for the first few years after release. Most new drugs have new side effects reported and 20% wind up off the market or with black box warnings.

Bisphenol A is found in plastic bottles and is carcinogenic. It is now ubiquitous. One of the problems in assessing the safety of chemicals is that we don't look at the cumulative effect of thousands of environmental toxins. Commonsense is needed in the US to stop approving chemicals that are not proven to be safe. Money trumps service.

FDA approved drugs can be legally used for any purpose physicians choose. It is illegal for drug companies to promote off-label uses, but the law has not stopped them. FDA regulations need to be enforced.

The Project to End Disease was founded by Raymond Francis. Health care reform has not addressed the real problem of switching from disease care to health care. We simply do not have a sustainable health care system and there's no plan that works. Abolishing disease is the realistic solution.

SSRIs have been shown to be no better than placebo in a large metaanalysis. Psychiatry has taken a huge step backwards by turning to psychopharmacology. Treating symptoms rather than looking at the deeper causes of depression is naive except in rare occasions. Placebo is a powerful tool that evolkes the neurobiology of the body.

Intravenous vitamin C for treatment of cancer was pioneered by Linus Pauling in the early 1970s and now, finally, there is mainstream literature having a second look at IV vitamin C in people with lymphomas. IV vitamin C is converted in to hydrogen peroxide by cancer cells and it kills them.
