Aromatherapy treatment was shown to lower the anxiety of emergency room nurses. Yet this is not done in clinical practice. It could be used in the hospital to relax the entire staff and patients. Lavender would be a good example. Massage therapy is another very useful relaxants, especially for surgeons.

Hospitals are a very difficult place to sleep. Patient comfort is not a high priority in the hospital; treatments are. Generally, sleeping pills are used instead of music, massage, or relaxation. Rest is critical when we are sick!

It is amazing that NSAIDs would be used by anyone who is pregnant. We know that many drugs have serious effects on the developing fetus. Because we know that NSAIDs cause at least 30,000 deaths every year in the US and 300,000 hospitalizations, who in their right mind would suggest that a pregnant women, especially in the first trimester use an NSAID?

According to an article published in the January issue of the journal, Pediatrics, placebo is as effective as drugs in preventing migraine headaches in children.
