10% of Americans are addicted to drugs, much of this is from medications prescribed by physicians. Typical programs for rehabilitation are unsuccessful. Appreciation of disciplines other than mainstream medicine broadens the scope of care and deepens the options. Healing Circles are a classic example of integrative health care.
