Laughter is a wonderful stress reducer. Improvisational theater is a tool to achieve that. Learning to be authentic relieves stresss. Playing games helps getting into the moment and stepping outside of expectations of self-judgment. Letting go and trusting are keys to life and to improv.

Harvard studies published in the NEJM the impact of two placebo treatments vs standard medical treatments for asthma patients. When it came to patient reported benefits, placebos were equally as effective as sthe standard treatment. However, the measured benefits of placebo on pulmonary function testing was only about 35% as effective as standart medical treatments.

MIT studies have shown that a combination of choline, uridine, and DHA can improve memory in patients with early Alzheimer's disease by stimulating the growth of new synapses. About 40% of patients who consumed this cocktail improved on a test of verbal memory. It does not work on moderate or severe cases.

Hospitals have a financial incentive to not reduce complications because they are paid per each treatment and each lab or other test according to an article published in the April issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
