There are now PhD programs in energy medicine; one is at the Academy for Intuition Medicine in Sausalito, CA. Indigenous healing systems tend to be anchored in energy healing and invoke the energy of the village to create healing. Environmental toxins such as dioxins, PCBs, and pesticides can increase the risk for heart attacks and strokes. These fat soluble toxins accumulate in blood vessel walls and are slow to be excreted.
